Alyssa Dillard is an attorney focusing on cases in criminal law and litigation. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Long Beach and went on to graduate with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law.
Throughout her career, Ms. Dillard has focused her attention on criminal law. At the Metropolitan Branch of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Dillard worked on a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, specializing in Fourth Amendment search-and-seizure issues.
In the Homicide Division of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Dillard was involved in the progression of multiple high-profile homicide cases, including a capital punishment vigilante case, and a case involving excessive force by law enforcement. Her primary responsibilities in this capacity were envisioning opposition strategy and researching novel points of law.
Ms. Dillard expanded her criminal law experience while working for the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office. While there, Ms. Dillard focused on the composition of trial motions and appellate briefs in cases ranging from drug possession to homicide. She additionally concentrated on the utility of alternative sentence programs, such as Drug Court and Veteran’s Court.
